Samantha’s approach to therapy embraces contradictions and views acceptance as the pathway to change. She supports clients from diverse backgrounds by attending to each person’s unique individual, developmental, and cultural needs. Samantha loves to integrate creativity, play, mindfulness, art, and music in her work with clients of all ages. Clients feel accepted and heard by Samantha, and colleagues trust in her ability to work effectively with diverse clients through the lens of cultural humility. She is influenced by dialectical philosophy, systems theory, psychoanalytic thought, and integrative approaches to therapy. 


Samantha is a Licensed Associate Counselor with diverse experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in outpatient and in-home settings. She earned her Master of Arts in Professional Clinical Counseling from La Salle University. She is trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). For over three years, she worked as a DBT therapist in a fully adherent, certified DBT program. She has pursued ongoing training and continuing education around the treatment of eating disorders, trauma, psychosis, neurodivergent-affirming therapy, and OCD. Samantha is passionate about working with queer, trans, and LGBTQIA clients and providing gender-affirming care. She also has over a decade of experience in the fields of education, healthcare, and community organizing, and is passionate about advocating for marginalized communities.

 
When she is not working, Samantha loves to create art and music with friends, family, & community. For over a decade she has been an independent researcher of Italian American/Diaspora Studies. She explores how Southern Italian popular music, art, and spiritual traditions can support collective healing.
