In my practice as a therapist, I focus on providing a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves; free from fear of judgment and empowered to face life’s challenges. I believe in meeting each client where they are and working together to build insight, resilience, and skills that will lead to lasting change.
I work with children, adolescents, and young adults, supporting them to develop healthier habits, build emotional regulation skills, and heal from trauma. I incorporate developmentally appropriate, child-centered approaches; including play and creative expression, as well as evidence-based techniques from CBT and DBT, to help them explore emotions and build coping skills .
I have several years of experience providing mental health services to children and their families in a variety of settings, including partial hospitalization, schools, outpatient clinics, and on college campuses. I am especially passionate about working with neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ populations. Growing up with an autistic sibling who also has physical disabilities, I have lifelong experience helping neurodivergent and differently-abled people and their families to navigate the challenges that come along with existing in a world that often feels overwhelming. I want everyone who enters my office to know they are in a space where they will be treated with empathy, patience, and unconditional positive regard.
Outside of the office, I enjoy exploring all forms of creativity, from music and art to my favorite pastime, needlework (crocheting, knitting, sewing... I love it all!). I also enjoy traveling and spending quality time with my two cats and my mini dachshund, Louie!
